The Rundown – 2014 CTEH Recap

2014 was another great year at CTEH. Our team members traveled across the country to share our expertise and meet with leading professionals, helped John B Hood Junior High School in Texas recover from mercury contamination, and joined the leagues of prestigious national committees. But that’s just a few highlights. Here’s more news from 2014:

•Celebrating milestones: In April, CTEH celebrated a year and a half without an OSHA recordable injury. Thank you to all our employees for their hard work, training and dedication to keep our workplace safe.

•Being recognized: Arkansas Business Publishing Group in July named CTEH the largest environmental consulting firm in Arkansas.

•Welcoming new faces: In January, we welcomed Dr. Michael G. Holland to CTEH. With 20 years of experience in medical toxicology, occupational and environmental medicine, and emergency medicine, Dr. Holland has become an integral member of our team.

•Serving the community: Congratulations to John Kind, Ph.D, CIH, Director of Toxicology at CTEH who was nominated to serve on the AIHA Emergency Response Planning Guidelines committee. As a member of this committee, he will help develop guidelines for responding to potential releases of airborne substances.

•Giving back: A special shoutout goes to our New Orleans office for donating funds to help a child with special needs, the Kemah office for helping with a local fire department’s bear drive, and the Little Rock office for donating to the Arkansas Foodbankand Little Rock Compassion Center in December. Earlier in the year, CTEH also donated supplies to prepare Arkansas students for the school year.
