The Center for Toxicology and Environmental Health is pleased to announce that William T. Allaben, Ph.D., has joined the organization as a Senior Toxicologist. Dr. Allaben brings an impressive background of experience, having spent 33 years in various research and management positions with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. In his last assignment with the FDA, he served as Associate Director for Scientific Coordination.
Dr. Allaben has authored and co-authored over 120 scientific articles, book chapters, and technical reports in the areas of toxicology, carcinogenesis and risk assessment. Dr. Allaben currently serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health, Fay Boozman College of Public Health, at UAMS, and as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, College of Medicine, at UAMS.
Dr. Allaben received his B.A., M.S., and Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois. He is a Fellow in the Academy of Toxicological Sciences, and a Board Certified Toxicologist.
