Training

Recognizing the need for high-quality, hands-on training, CTEH® established a Training Services Division. Mr. Shawn Burress leads this division with over 18 years of experience in the hazardous materials and emergency response industries. Mr. Burress and his team are highly qualified to conduct a broad range of training related to the hazardous materials industry.

Our training staff has experience working in the United States as well as internationally. All of our training staff has countless hours of field experience working with hazardous materials in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

To actually save lives and protect the environment, the training provided to emergency response personnel must be effective. The students must be exposed to the information, retain it, and know how to use it effectively. To accomplish this, our training is a mixture of both classroom instruction and hands-on practical knowledge. We know there is no substitute for practical experience, thus students will retain more information for a longer period of time.

Each training session uses digital projection equipment, including DVD technology. Additionally, our mobile learning center is equipped with the most common tools for personal protection, decontamination, confinement, air monitoring, containment, and information sources. This resource allows participants a more realistic hands-on experience.

Every training session is customized to meet the individual client's needs. Customization allows our clients to focus on those subjects and areas that are of the greatest concern to their business or industry. The following is a list of the current training classes offered by CTEH®.
