CTEH® developed the Worker Exposure Response Program (WERP®) to offer immediate response from toxicology professionals to employees reporting a chemical exposure at their workplace. The program is designed to provide clients with access to a full complement of toxicological resources to ensure that medical care providers, company supervisors, and employees have the necessary information concerning the chemical in question. WERP® offers a unique and proactive method of addressing employee chemical exposure incidents and injury claims. CTEH® toxicologists, in consultation with occupational health services staff, can tailor a program to suit the specific needs of the client. Our WERP® capabilities include:
24-hours per day, 7 days per week support by PhD-level toxicologists, occupational medicine physician, and occupational health nurses.
Consultation and support to the affected employee, his/her supervisor, and/or medical personnel involved in the employee’s care, which may include verbal and/or published information regarding the chemical(s) involved in the exposure incident.
