CTEH®Recent Hires

Dave Riggs, Manager, Gulf Coast Region, has 36 years of experience in chemical plant operations, hazmat, industrial fire fighting, rescue, medical, air monitoring, and security. He comes to CTEH after retirement from Georgia Gulf Chemicals and Vinyls, L.L.C. His responsibilities included managing the training and response of a force of 291 fire, rescue, medical, air monitoring, and hazmat personnel across a four state area with no OSHA recordable incident. At CTEH, he will be responsible for project management and business development through the Gulf Coast Region.

Josh Somers, Project Environmental Scientist, received a Masters in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas at Conway. Mr. Somers is a member of the Toxicology Emergency Response Program (TERP). His other duties include report writing and data management.

Crystal Hunter, Environmental Scientist II, graduated from University of Arkansas in Pine Bluff with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in chemistry. Ms. Hunter serves as a member of the Toxicology Emergency Response Program (TERP). Her duties include report writing and data management.

Megan McQueen, Environmental Scientist II, graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with an emphasis in chemistry. She is a member of the Toxicology Emergency Response Program (TERP). Her duties include report writing and data management.

Brenda Hisel, HR Assistant/Benefits Coordinator, received a Bachelors of Arts in English from Lacrosse University in Bay St. Louis, MS. She also has an associates degree in accounting. She comes to CTEH with 15 years experience in human resources an payroll. Her primary duties consist of benefits coordination and human resources.

Janet Poole, Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper, has over 20 years experience in accounting and will be assisting the senior accountant. She received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Louisiana Tech University.

Aneesah Ward, Administrative Assistant, has over 10 years of experience in customer service and administration. She attended both Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the University of Houston-Downtown, Houston, Texas as a Criminology and Law Studies major. Ms. Ward combines both her professional and educational expertise to provide personal administrative assistance to Dr. Jay Gandy.
