Pamella Tijerina, PhD
Dr. Tijerina has experience in the field of environmental toxicology and inhalation exposures. She received her B.S. in Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio where she researched age-related hearing loss in non-human primates. Dr. Tijerina completed her Ph.D. at New York University in Environmental Health Sciences with an emphasis in Systemic Toxicology. Her doctoral research involved air pollution, nanoparticles, and inhalation toxicology. During her educational career, Dr. Tijerina was active in the Society of Toxicology and held multiple leadership positions at the Regional and National levels. In addition, Dr. Tijerina received multiple student awards for her graduate research in particle pollution, including the Mary Amdur Student Award.
