Ms. Alvis is a registered nurse and a certified occupational and environmental health nurse with more than fifteen years of experience in emergency response and legal nurse consulting. She has a background of working as a paralegal for a criminal defense attorney. As a legal nurse consultant Ms. Alvis provides litigation clients with medical records support for case preparation and serves as legal defense team advisor for case preparation.
Ms. Alvis has extensive experience in medical record abstract preparation including those for case analysis and case summary. Ms. Alvis also has more than 5 years of clinical experience involving many different healthcare settings such as: Surgery (Pre-operative, Recovery, and Outpatient), Medical-Surgical, Cardiac, Hospital Administration, Cancer and Pain Management. She has assisted physician’s with many procedures such as bronchoscopy procedures, cardiac catheterization procedures, head up tilt studies, arteriogram procedures, liver biopsies, lung biopsies, myelogram procedures, paracentesis procedures, abscessogram procedures, cardioversions, lithotripsy, ultrasound’s of prostate procedures, blood patches, and placement of central venous lines.
